Beans
Beans is an approximately 2-year-old neutered Staffy/Lab mix with a goofy personality and a heart full of love. Once a scared stray at the Anchorage municipal shelter, Beans has blossomed into an affectionate, loyal dog who forms very strong bonds with his people and loves being included in everyday life.
Beans thrives in a home where someone is around more often, as he truly enjoys companionship and does not do well being left alone for long periods of time. He is smart, eager to connect, and would do best with continued structure, enrichment, exercise, and training to help him succeed.
Beans can be protective over high-value toys and bones around other dogs, so proper management and continued training are important. He has never shown aggression toward people. He also has a tendency to chew or eat inappropriate items when unsupervised, so supervision and safe outlets for his energy are a must.
Despite his challenges, Beans is an incredibly loving dog with so much potential in the right home. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and may have a possible skin allergy that should continue to be monitored.

Marzipan
Marzipan is a 3-year-old mixed breed boy looking for a home that will continue helping him build confidence and thrive. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and absolutely adores people. Everywhere he goes, he wins people over with his sweet, gentle personality.
He enjoys playing with other dogs and has done well in daycare settings, though he can struggle with some leash reactivity when passing dogs while on leash. Outside of those moments, he actually walks very nicely and does not pull much at all. He is very food motivated, eager to learn, gentle, and responds very well to redirection and positive reinforcement training. He already knows many basic cues and is eager to keep learning alongside his people.
Marzipan does have some anxiety and is not quite crate trained yet, but overall he is truly a great dog with a lot of potential. He bonds deeply with his people, loves attention, and just wants to be included in everyday life. He’s ultimately just a sweet boy looking for a loving forever home where he can finally feel safe, secure, and understood.

Cudi
Cudi is a young 1-year-old Lab/Samoyed mix with a heart full of love and energy to spare. Described by his previous family as sweet, snuggly, and incredibly loyal, he loves being around his people and is always ready for his next adventure.
Cudi has lived with children and done well with other dogs. He is housebroken, affectionate, and happiest when he's included in the fun. Like many young dogs, he is still learning the ropes. He currently knows how to sit and is working on leash manners, kennel training, and basic obedience. Fortunately, he is extremely food-motivated and eager to learn, giving him all the tools he needs to succeed.
This handsome boy has plenty of puppy enthusiasm and would thrive with an active family committed to continuing his training. He can get a little mouthy when excited, has limited recall, and has shown interest in small animals, but with consistency and guidance, we believe he has incredible potential.
If you're looking for a loyal companion, hiking buddy, and best friend wrapped into one lovable package, Cudi may be the perfect fit for your family.

Snugbug
Snugbug is a 2.5 year old spayed Aussiedoodle with a gentle heart and a sweet, goofy personality once she feels safe and comfortable. She can be a little skittish in new situations and around new people at first, but with patience and time to build trust, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loyal.
Once Snugbug settles in and bonds with her people, her personality really comes out and she becomes quite talkative. She loves being involved and thrives when she has consistency, engagement, and companionship.
She was surrendered because her previous home was unable to provide the training, structure, and outlets she needed. Since coming into our care, Snugbug has done well meeting multiple dogs with proper introductions and has shown herself to be social and appropriate around other dogs. She has never shown aggression.
Like many intelligent, active breeds, Snugbug will do best in a home that can continue providing mental stimulation, routine, and positive reinforcement training. She may try to herd small children by barking or gently nipping at heels, so a home without very young kids may be the best fit.
Snugbug is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find a patient forever home that will help her continue building confidence and thriving.
Adoption fee is $250.

Stella
Stella is a 5 year old Belgian Malinois with an incredible temperament and so much love to give. She is fully house broken, kennel trained, and very well mannered both on leash and in the home.
This sweet girl is the definition of a velcro dog. Stella absolutely adores her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them, soak up affection, and be involved in daily life. Once she bonds with you, she is incredibly loyal and loving.
Stella is wonderful with children and has done well with cats in the past. She thrives in a calm, structured environment where she feels safe and understood. As a Belgian Malinois, she will need a home that can continue to provide her with regular outings, exercise, mental stimulation, and structure that can keep up with her breed and intelligence.
Stella would do best as an only dog. Due to previous experiences with being bullied by another female dog, she can be uncomfortable with unfamiliar dogs approaching her and may become reactive when feeling pressured, especially with female dogs. She is generally more avoidant than confrontational and is typically indifferent toward most male dogs.
She is truly an amazing dog that deserves a home where she can relax, feel secure, and be loved for the incredible companion she is.

Rosebud is full of puppy charm, curiosity, and goofy energy. She is currently working on potty training and learning all the important puppy basics while she waits for her forever family. In the meantime, she is busy mastering the art of being adorable and winning over everyone she meets.
She will thrive in a home ready for all the fun, love, and adventure that comes with raising a smart and active puppy. Rosebud is expected to grow into a fun-loving companion who will always keep life exciting.

Kenai
(PENDING ADOPTION)
Kenai is a 6 year old Black Lab with an incredible personality and so much love to give. This handsome boy is the full package. He is house broken, crate trained, and has excellent recall. Kenai already knows sit, down, shake, and many other commands, making him a very well mannered companion both at home and out on adventures.
Like a true Labrador, Kenai is a high energy boy who loves to stay active and involved. He would thrive with a family that enjoys walks, hikes, playtime, or other adventures where he can stretch his legs and use his smart brain. He is also a huge food enthusiast, which makes training both fun and rewarding because he is very eager to learn for snacks.
Kenai is wonderful with other dogs and has done great living with multiple dogs in his foster home. He is also currently fostered with cats and has adjusted very well. He is mostly leash trained, though he can still have moments of excitement when something fun catches his attention. With consistency and continued structure, he continues to do wonderfully.
Kenai is sweet, smart, eager to please, and truly just a great all around dog. Whether you are looking for a hiking buddy, family companion, or best friend to lounge on the couch after a busy day, Kenai is ready to fit right in.
